Little E and Baby C

Today started with G.T. heading off to work and the house being invaded by two little kids. We'll call them "Little E", she's 10 days short of 4 years old, and "Baby C", he's 11 months old.

Little E and I really hit it off the last time I was here, she knows where Colorado is because that's where I live and apparently asks about me a lot. We were pretty excited to be reunited, though she hid it until she was sure I was the same girl who liked to play. After that we had a blast with one another.

Baby C was pretty young when I saw him last, so he didn't remember me, but we hit it off when I helped him walk around the room to see everything. He wasn't horribly happy when no one would let him suck on the dog bones, though.

Little E and I started off our day of adventure by exploring the upstairs guest bedroom and talking about how easily one can loose their jewelry. She was pretty proud pf her knowledge on the subject and it was adorable.

Then we decided to expand our exploration to the backyard where we conquered the hammock bed and chair under Tazz's watchful eye. If we threw the ball for him of course. Little E threw it a couple of times, but then it got nasty so she demanded we go inside to wash her hands.

After that, we played a couple of games on my laptop and the my PSP, all the running around had made my legs hurt, so I had to take a breather. LocoRoco is a captivating game for all ages, so it kept her busy while I did that. Baby C decided it was a good time to come and say hi, so I have a baby bouncing on my lap and playing with keys and a 3 year old sitting next to me playing a game. A felt a little mom like, especially when Baby C decided the PSP looked like a good snack.

The time inside had to come to and end, though when Little E got some bread to feed to the chickens. Before we found the chickens though, Hil drove by on the riding mower, so Little E decided to grab a ride first and while all that was going on, Sissy decided to escape and make a run for it. She does this a lot, so you have to keep an eye on her and, with everything that was going on, she slipped out. We got her back with promises of a car ride, so she didn't get hurt or run too far and enjoyed the ride thoroughly.

Since Little E was busy outside playing with the chickens, I went inside and spent some time with baby C. He ran and crawled around while I kept him out of trouble and took a break from exploration to dance to some of his singing toys. That little fellow has some moves! Especially when Hil brought up the "I like to move it, move it" song from Madagascar.

After that, nothing majorly noteworthy happened with the kids, we just hung out and played until their mom came to get them.

Near the time the kids went home, G.T.'s grandparents showed up and they got settled in the upstairs room, so mom set up an air mattress in Hil's room. Then we headed to the store for some more party supplies and grabbed some Chinese food for dinner. G.T. had to head to work after, so she was wiped by the time she got home and passed out pretty quickly.

The plans for tomorrow are getting ready for and then throwing the shindig.
